On October 31, The Redwoods Institute launched on a new Learning Management System—Cornerstone-on-Demand.
This new system will begin our move from completion training (focused on compliance) to comprehension training (focused on prevention).
Currently, many staff take online trainings annually. Yet learning is more than a one-time event. Training is more than a certificate in a folder. And instruction is more than clicking a mouse. Our vision is one of curriculum-based learning in which training is seen as an ongoing process, and safety is considered a constant priority. Our new system is moving us one step closer to that.
Specifically, the move will mean significant improvements in two main areas—automation and experience.

From a new design aesthetic to recommended trainings, the new LMS system will be designed to enhance the user experience for trainees and administrators alike.
